Blue Immersion was then taken over by 4 Freediving Trainers in 2013 and quickly became well known as the most successful Freediving school in the world with over 1000 students every year, hundreds are SSI Freediving Instructors who are now living the dream working in the same field and few Freediving Athletes who are now the deepest divers worlwide . Linda Paganelli is the current Italian Champion in multiple disciplines, Lotta Ericson is a former static breath hold world champion, Florian Dagoury-Houas is one of the current elite in competition with depth and static breath hold disciplines, Jin is a former Korean Champion in two different depth disciplines. The four of them work hard to make Blue Immersion a famous place for Freediving/Apnea Courses in Thailand. You are in very good hands !
Florian was a successful Optometrist working in France and Australia. In 2010 he decided to quite everything to explore the seas which have always been mysterious, fascinating and scary for him. He quickly became a Scuba diving, Technical diving and Freediving Instructor. In 2013 he became Lotta and Linda’s favourite student and started to show interest in Freediving competitions where he is known as a up and coming star. After 4 years of hard training, Florian can now hold his breath for 8:39 minutes and freedive to 85 meters in the Free Immersion and Constant weight Freediving disciplines. He spends most of his time training and teaching SSI Level 3, Masters and SSI Freedive Instructor courses in Thailand. Florian’s coaching skills are highly spoken off by his Freediving students. Florian believed in Thailand high potentiel for Freediving training and renovated Blue Immersion adding bigger facilities, intense master courses, Zero to Hero program, High quality equipment, Food and accommodation on sight. Linda started freediving in late 2002 but only started competing in 2005. During her first competition she broke 3 national depth records. She kept breaking her own records until 2007, when she gave up competing for several years. Linda became Aida instructor trainer in 2006 and SSI instructor trainer in 2010 and certified over 200 new free diving instructors. She is also a high level judge for freediving competitions and have judged 3 world championships and few world record attempts. In 2012 she started training and competing again, passing the 80 meters mark in constant weight, and setting 3 new national records in Variable Weight (100m), Constant Weight (82m) and Free Immersion (70m). She recently broke her own free immersion record with a easy 72m. She keeps breaking Italian records so often that our webmaster is getting tired of updating the website. Linda have been teaching and training free diving for appx 15 years now and she has contribute to the development of the sport by co-written the SSI teaching manuels for courses and specialties. She taught all our instructors the most efficient techniques to perform in Freediving and to share knowledges efficiently to our students for the safest and fastest results. In 2014 Linda and her father Francesco Paganelli built two freediving platforms with engines, specially designed for our activities. Those platforms takes our freedivers from shore to dive sites without transfer to a small boat which increased the time spend training in open water and students confort. Jin Hyun started Freediving with Blue Immersion years ago. He started with our Zero to Hero training program and worked really hard for the last 5 years. When he started freediving, Jin didn’t know how to swim and proved that this sport can be learn by everybody. In April 2013 he got his first National record in Constant weight ( bi fins ) with 61m, then a year later the Korean National record with 71m (monofin). Jin has been teaching level 3,master and Instructor courses in Blue Immersion for the last 2 years. He is now also focusing more on teaching and sharing his freediving knowledge and skills to who ever motivated to learn and work hard, rather than pushing himself in competition. Jin is well known for his efficiency at work and his students learn a lot quickly, vigorously with a strong discipline touch. His humour is also great, Jin hasn’t finish to surprise us!
